Status Signs was established in 2001 by Rhys Carmady and his father with a vision to deliver high-quality signage backed by strong craftsmanship and reliable service. What began as a small family-run sign business has grown into a trusted provider of signage solutions for businesses across Queensland and beyond.
Over the years, Status Signs has expanded its capabilities to offer a complete service — from concept and design through to in-house manufacturing and installation. Our commitment to quality, innovation and customer service has built a strong reputation within the industry.
In 2023, Luke Bishop joined the business as a partner, bringing additional leadership and supporting the continued growth of the company, including the expansion into electrical contracting.

Rhys is one of the driving forces behind Status Signs and proudly leads the business as one of the Managing Director. As part of the second generation of this family-owned company, he’s been involved from an early age and has played a key role in its growth and success.
Signage is his bread and butter, and he’s always pushing Status Signs to the forefront of new technologies to ensure clients receive the very best quality results.

With 16 years in the signage industry, Jodie is the expert you want on your side. She brings every project to life, expertly navigating the technical details from concept to completion, ensuring each sign is crafted with precision, care, and her signature dedication.
Production Manager
Tom Tidswell
Tom brings years of hands-on experience from owning and running Cairns Signs, making him a powerhouse in production and design. As Production Manager, he leads the team with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality, ensuring every project is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
